What is a good way to ask for a review

At the time this video was made, Bobby and his team at Bright Side have over 326 Google Reviews.  Some suggestions Bobby and his team make are: 

✅ Ask for a review at the end of the job

✅ Ask them a simple question:  "Is there anything that would stop you from leaving us a five-star review?"

✅ Once they commit to leaving you a review, use the tap card/ QR code and let them know, "I'm going to do one more final walkthough while you leave the review, come back and wrap everything up and then I'll be on my way."

HERE IS A SIMPLE SCRIPT

Be personal, polite, and direct. Here are some key tips and a sample script based on best practices:

Key Tips:

  1. Personalize the Request: Address the homeowner by name and mention specific details about the service provided.
  2. Be Direct and Clear: Clearly state that you are asking for a review and explain why their feedback is valuable.
  3. Provide Easy Access: Include direct links to the review platforms or a QR code to make it easy for them to leave a review.
  4. Timing: Ask for the review immediately after the service is completed when the experience is fresh in their mind.
  5. Express Gratitude: Thank the homeowner for their time and business.

Sample Script:

In-Person Request:

Employee: "Hi [Homeowner's Name], I’m glad we could get your new roof installed today. Everything looks great! If you’re happy with the work we’ve done, could I ask you for a small favor?"

Homeowner: "Sure, what is it?"

Employee: "It would mean a lot to us if you could take a minute to leave a review about your experience. Your feedback helps us improve and lets other homeowners know they can trust us with their roofing needs. Here’s a card with a QR code that will take you directly to our review page. Thank you so much for your time and for choosing us!"

Keys: 

✅ Be personable and ask right after the install

✅ Get them to tap or use the QR code right after they agree to leave you a review

✅ Let them know after it's open on the phone that you will be doing one more final walk through while they handle the review!
